Dark Tourism como innovación en producto turístico. Concepto y casos de estudio

in the last years. The key aspects of this type of tourism, the motivations of tourists to visit certain places, their experiences, as well
as their characteristics, are described. Several examples of this type of tourism, as case studies from different countries, are included.
Similarly, the European Cemetery Route, which include numerous cemeteries from different European countries, is described. Through
the conducted literature review and the real cases described, this paper contributes to clarify the concept of Dark Tourism.
