Paradores y comunicación turística del patrimonio

Elvira Lezcano González
Abstract

Paradores are a good example of an integral heritage, which brings together different typologies that would not be understood without the environment in which it is included. This heritage possesses both tangible and intangible values. These establishments, which go beyond mere lodgings, are usually mentioned by their real estate value or by the context in which they are located. But the movable goods that most of them include are often ignored or forgotten. It is a kind of heritage that, although frequently exposed and exhibited, is not always properly communicated. That leads in most of the occasions to its ignorance and underestimation. This chapter proposes the emotional value of heritage and the use of Interpretation as an excellent tool to transmit it from an intellectual, emotional and attitudinal perspective.
