Submissions

4. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx, or .rtf). A separate Excel file must be provided containing all graphic elements (charts, graphs, diagrams, figures, etc.). Each graphic element must be numbered, titled, and cross-referenced in the body text. Information sources and, where applicable, explanatory notes must be placed below each element.

5. Illustrative materials (charts, tables, images, and graphs) must be submitted as individual files in TIF/TIFF or JPG/JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. All files must include a title. The source of each element must be fully documented; if the material has been adapted or created by the author, "Source: Prepared by the author(s)" (or "Author's own elaboration") must be indicated after the source.

Illustrations, tables, and charts must:

• Be placed as close as possible to the relevant text.
• Include a title.
• Be numbered sequentially using the labels Figure, Table, or Chart.

Within the text, references must explicitly state the label and corresponding number (e.g., Figure 1, Table 2). Phrases such as "see the attached table" or "see table below" should be avoided. Text citations must refer to the number and, optionally, to the title of the element.

Below each image, figure, table, or chart, authors must include the source or reproduction permission, formatted exactly as specified by the issuing institution or copyright holder.

6. Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions to reproduce third-party material (text, tables, or figures) and for citing the original sources accurately. Written permission must be requested from both the original author and the copyright holder/publisher.

7. Authors are encouraged to use inclusive language that promotes gender equality in science, in alignment with the European Research Area (ERA) Policy Agenda (2022–2024 Action 5: "Promote gender equality and foster inclusiveness").

8. The overall length of the manuscript (including charts, graphs, tables, notes, and references) must not exceed the word count limits specified below for each article category. The text must be set in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 3 cm margins, and page numbers placed in the bottom right corner. Authors must indicate the article type to which their manuscript belongs: research article, conceptual paper or essay, case study, literature review, or book review.

9. Language: Manuscripts written in English are accepted provided they have been professionally proofread. Authors must submit proof of professional language editing upon submission.

10. Each submission must include a separate title page containing: a concise, clear, and informative title; the date of completion; and the full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), postal address, telephone number, and email address of each author.

11. The first page of the main text must include: — The title in Spanish and English. — An abstract in both Spanish and English (maximum 200 words). — A list of 2 to 6 keywords in both Spanish and English.

12. Appendices, if any, should be inserted after the reference list and must include descriptive titles.

13. Headings and subheadings must be numbered using Arabic numerals according to the following structure:

1. Section Title (Level 1)

1.1. Subsection Title (Level 2)

1.1.1. Sub-subsection Title (Level 3)

14. Footnotes must be integrated into the text using superscript numbers, with the corresponding note text appearing at the bottom of the same page in 10-point Times New Roman font.

15. Acronyms and abbreviations must be written out in full upon their first mention in the text.

16. In-text citations and references must adhere to the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA Style guidelines: https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples).

In-text citation examples:

• Single citations: "(Fernández Fúster, 1991)", "Fernández Fúster (1991)", "(Fernández Fúster, 1991, p. 87)", or "Fernández Fúster (1974, 1991)".
• Multiple citations: Separate entries chronologically within parentheses: "(Rodríguez Lázaro, 2004, pp. 94–121; Roca, 2017; Vilar & Vallejo, 2018)".
• Works by the same author in the same year: Append lowercase letters to the publication year: "(Vega-Inclán, 1913a, p. 22)", "(Vega-Inclán, 1913b)".
• Multiple works with three or more authors sharing the same first author and publication year: Distinguish them as follows: "(Sánchez et al., 2001a, 2001b)", "(Sánchez et al., 2001b)". Use matching lowercase letters in the reference list.

17. References: The reference list must appear at the end of the main text and strictly follow APA guidelines. General rules and examples for common source types can be consulted at the link provided in Section 16. DOIs must be included for all references where available.

Reference List Ordering References must be arranged alphabetically by the primary author's last name. For multiple works by the same author, apply the following order:

1. Single-author works, ordered chronologically from earliest to most recent.

2. Multi-author works where the individual is listed as the first author, ordered chronologically.

3. Works by the same author(s) published in the same year, ordered alphabetically by title, appending a lowercase letter to the publication year (e.g., 2014a, 2014b).
