Perfiles diferenciales respecto de la demanda de calidad en la oferta turística de Canarias

This research study intends to develop a theoretical definition and econometric estimate of demand functions for tourism services. Use data taken from Expense Tourism Survey in Canary Islands, for the year 1998, we develop a demand interpretation, through an approach of vertical differentiation in terms of quality, important attribute of this type of goods. We estimates the differential profiles by gender, age, nationality, and other characteristic associate with socio-economic factors, for the Canaries visitors. Finding by general that those individuals whose occupation is corresponded with manager or small entrepreneur are associated with highest expense levels, as compared to students andretired with low expense levels, by nationalities are the Austrians, Swiss, Dutch and Spanish those which prevail in a high level expense.
