Abstract
This article shows the close and indissoluble relationship established between the Prado National Museum and tourism,
based on the vision the institution has about its visitors and the mechanisms it has developed to analyze its needs and characteristics. In
this sense, the public of the museum is characterized in this article, that refers to the measures that the museum has put in place in the
last years to attend in the best conditions to tourists, by itself or in collaboration with other institutions.
