Abstract

The article describes the new contributions that Big Data brings with respect to other preceding information systems. The authors delve into the real characteristics of the system, operation, phases that have to undertake projects, concrete examples and innovations that incorporate this technology. Also emphasizes the contributions of this system to the tourism sector, its potential influence on tourist destinations and the description of real cases developed within the tourism industry.
