Abstract
CSR represents a transversal management model in which good practices and voluntary searches of improvement go beyond legislation: cultural identity, respect of the heritage, sustainability, environment, ethnography, transparency… The Autonomous Community of Galicia means sea, but also fishing and shellfish-gathering. For the Galician cost, shellfish-gathering supposes a subsistence economy and the perpetuation of an identity, a culture and a way of living. The 80% of the shellfish catcher are women. With their association and being supported by initiatives related to sustainability economy, these women had generated a touristic initiative that involves defending their way of living and their job through visits and shared journeys. We are talking about ‘maritime tourism’, experiential tourism, ethnographic tourism: everything can be included in this initiative. Now, they are in the process to obtain their CSR certification and achieving its excellence model. In this article, this process is explained.
